she sits and looks outside the window
with much expectation in her eyes
like the awaiting of a long lost lover
she stares into space
as if to beckon her lover
to find out how far he is;
how long she has to wait,
for his return.
but the silent breeze is her only answer
the swaying trees the only movement
not even a mirage of a man in the distance
can she see.
she feels her heart breaking
with every tear that drops down her cheeks
she wishes she could keep it together
wished her heart was stronger
this was a love she hadn’t fully explored
if she stops watching and waiting
her heart will heal itself
and she will forget her lover
and the hopes and dreams she had will be lost.
so she continues to sit and stare
holding on to the slightest of hope;
waiting for that light at the end of the tunnel.
as darkness falls,
and the cold bites,
she wraps her arms around her;
remembering the feeling
of his embrace
and she gently rocks herself,
trying to calm her heart.
trying to tell it to hold on
for just one more day.
it has been too many
one more days
and the heart is getting the reality
her lover is never returning
he probably lost his way
back to her
and ended up elsewhere
and now is happy
and all selective amnesia
about his former lover
who awaits his arrival.
the heart can take it no longer
the thought of him with another is shattering
and into pieces the heart breaks
and she screams it out
as if to numb the pain with the shouts
and she sobs
and she sleeps in her tears
not knowing if she will survive the pain.
until the gentle streak of sunshine touches her skin
and she awakes
to a beautiful bright day
and though the burning eyes are a reminder
of what happened the day before
she looks outside the window
one last time
and she stands up
and walks away…

Hi this is kinda of off topic but I was wanting to know if
blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding expertise so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
sad but thoughtful and in the end….beautiful….
all’s well, that ends well…

When we are in the abyss of pain – every step takes us higher and away.
A bitter sweet poem with hints of a new life expressed in the end. Loved it.
