perfection a goal too high
for me to ever achieve
and i am fine with it
for every day i learn anew
every day i shed off bad skin
what i thought i had figured
takes a different turn
leaves staring blankly
for there is no manual to living
its one step at a time
choosing what feels right to you
at the time
tripping and falling
standing up and learning from the mistakes
i never have all the answers
some times i think i do
but life always surprises me.
in my imperfections
i will hurt you
by words i speak
or things i do
mostly it won’t be intentional
I’m usually just doing
what i think and feel is right
but i am open to correction
as every day i discover new things.
do not give up on me
just yet.
do not turn your back to me,
i may not know it today,
give me time;
please be patient.
