Monday Disappointments

it is yet another Monday and a cold one at that from where i am. and today’s Monday Blues today but surprisingly i do not have any. Ok, other than the fact that it was a battle to wake up in the morning. Other than that, I do not have the usual, ‘why is it Monday again?’ I am learning to embrace Mondays now that I have realized they are here to stay and yes, they will always come after the weekend. If you can’t beat them, find someone who can and if that doesn’t work either, simply join them and find a way to walk with them amicably.

The light blue in this morning would be having to be with someone you somewhat are disappointed in very close to you. Youl see them and hear them and every time that happens you are reminded of just how much they let you down and you almost wish you could both be in separate islands or something but yeah, you gotta work with what you have. So the challenge is in managing the situation. not hte easiest thing to do but very possible and so I ma learning…

Why do we get disappointed in or with people? I guess it’s because we think too highly of people which leads to us expecting too highly of them. So what? Should we not have expectations? I doubt that is possible but i guess we pught to learn how to manage our expectations. Expect the unexpected and very little will surprise you or when you see the signs, by all means, do not turn a blind eye. Do not make excuses.they most often than not come back to haunt you and make the punch a bit more painful. So yeah, human beings will always somewhat disappoint you. That is a hard fact to swallow but the sooner you accept this, the easier it will be on you.

So what happens afterdisappointment? Well, you go through the process of being hurt and all and cry if need be; go through the motions and let go. Forgive and move on. Second chances? Well, that depends on how strong a person you are. The once bitten twice shy proverb, can save you from future heartaches but situations are different.Word of advice though, do not go back to a situation if nothing has changed. you know like if the person has not even apologised or realized that they did somethingto hurt you, don’t go back because then, what change will have taken place? Do not just hope in such situations otherwise you will end up with another hurting soul. my advice,if someone hurts you or disappoints you and you tell them but they are not remorseful or sorry about it and don’t bother to apologise, let that ship sail away. Not in bitterness.Just forgive and move on. If they ever come to their senses, well, you can accept the apology and decide if you’ll still want them around or if you are better off without them…Easier said than done, I know but it is so very possible.

Have a lovely Monday.

Would you post a list of every one of all your public pages like your linkedin profile, Facebook page or twitter feed?
