the other day,a work mate asked me what i had done over the weekend that had spilled over to my Monday because I looked so happy.So,I smiled at myself,only God and I and those that were part of the weekend,knowing what exactly happened and it was not all rosy but i guess the thorns around a rose flower do not prevent it from being beautiful or smelling awesomely,so yeah.But I told him that happiness is a state of mind.You choose happiness.You choose to smile even in the midst of tears and to be joyous though in mourning.You choose what to focus on,the positive or negative and each has its own consequences or shall I say reactions?You choose happiness.You choose to not get stressed;to have the serenity prayer as your guide.Not to worry over things you can do nothing about and those you can do something about,you just do.You choose to overlook that hurtful comment about say your looks and you choose to smile back instead knowing that you are beautiful no matter what anyone else thinks and who said you had to please the entire world anyway?it is a choice you make on a daily basis,every second you are alive.It needs practice and discipline,but once you get a hold of it,you will always be smiling and having everyone else wondering what is so good to smile about.so people,there is no secret recipe to being a happy chap,you just choose to be one and stick to your decision.oh yeah,it does help to know that God has me covered,it totally kills the spirit of worry.
