no matter how far away i walk or run,

i somehow end up here,down at your feet,

seeking your face and forgiveness,

for only you complete me

and my identity only comes from you.

so i ask myself

when will i just stop and be still in your presence

and let go of all the mipango wa kandos

aka the world and it’s pleasures?

there is the 80-20 rule in relationships

when you cheat on your partner

you usually give up 80%

go for the 20%

with you its 100%

i give it up for nothing

nothing that comes clothed as something

times as everything

only to unwrap it and find emptiness

so i ask myself again

when will i just stop and be still

when will i just be still in your presence

and know that you are God

and only you can satisfy?
